Giving Back

Building infrastructure is one part of what Central Pacific Cable (CPC) does. Being present in the communities that infrastructure serves is another.

The CPC initiative reflects a long-term commitment to the communities connected through its network. Alongside advancing regional digital connectivity, CPC supports community-based engagement that emphasizes collaboration, environmental stewardship, and shared regional progress. These efforts are not separate from the mission. They are an expression of it.

Programs & Initiatives

Central Pacific Celebration (PTC)

The Central Pacific Celebration is an annual gathering held alongside the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) conference, bringing together Pacific stakeholders, partners, operators, and community representatives to recognize progress in regional connectivity and collaboration.

The event provides a platform to highlight shared achievements across Pacific digital infrastructure development and reinforce collective commitment to long-term connectivity progress across the region. It reflects CPC’s view that the relationships built alongside the infrastructure matter as much as the infrastructure itself.

Community Engagement with the Tuvalu Church, Honolulu

CPC maintains ongoing engagement with the Tuvaluan community in Honolulu through volunteer participation and donation-based support of the Tuvalu Church. This relationship reflects a continued commitment to the people connected by the network, not just the places.

Tuvalu holds a particular significance within the CPC initiative as the first market to receive and activate an international subsea cable connection. The ongoing relationship with the Tuvaluan diaspora community in Honolulu is a natural extension of that connection, and of the broader belief that infrastructure investment should be accompanied by genuine community partnership.

Environmental Stewardship

CPC supports environmental stewardship efforts within Pacific communities, including organized beach clean-up activities in coastal areas. Submarine cable infrastructure operates within the same ocean ecosystems that Pacific communities depend on. Taking an active role in protecting those environments is part of operating with integrity in the region.
